This is a very special wine of the Denomination of Origin Montsant. Made with grapes from emblematic local vineyards with personality closely linked to the winemaking history of the DO.
Generic characteristics: A dry red wine, complex due to the combination of aromas originating from the grape and the wood.
Type of soil: Meteorised primary granite.
Serving temperature: Between 16 and 18ºC.
Pairings: A well-structured wine, meaty, velvety, full-bodied and mature. It requires hearty dishes that complement its voluptuous nature. It combines well with all types of game meats, stewed beef and complex sauces. Perfect for accompanying snails. Strong, firm-bodied fish like tuna. Blue and cured cheeses. Also bitter chocolate.
Most recommended cooking methods: dishes with sauces, stews. Batter-coated foods. Perfect for very spicy and peppery dishes.
